About Us
Ghana's Premier Bauxite Producer
Ghana Bauxite Company Limited (GBC) is Ghana's sole operating bauxite mine, located in Awaso in the Western Region. With a production history stretching back to the 1940s, we have established ourselves as a reliable and responsible supplier of premium trihydrate bauxite to global aluminium producers.
Our operations are underpinned by a Parliament of Ghana-ratified 30-year mining lease, strong governance, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. We produce approximately 1.8 million tonnes of bauxite annually, with typical alumina content of 52% and low silica of 1.5%.
